Some stories begin long before the artwork is finished.
This piece, now proudly hanging in Contemporary Art Banus in Puerto Banús, carries a secret layer beneath its surface — quite literally.
Before the texture and structure came to life, there was a little sketch on the canvas: a funny, playful face with its tongue sticking out.
I drew it spontaneously, just for fun, before the real work began. I never planned for it to be seen again.
But somehow, that moment of humor stayed hidden beneath the layers — a reminder that every artwork has its own private story.
That’s how this piece got its name: Veiled Within.
Underneath the elegance, the folds, and the sculptural depth, there’s a bit of laughter — a trace of the artist’s joy and imperfection.
Seeing it now in the gallery, surrounded by other bold and contemporary works, makes me smile.
Only I (and now you) know what’s hiding beneath that veil.
The Meaning Behind the Layers
The visible texture represents emotion, energy, and instinct — the part of art that everyone can see.
But the hidden sketch below symbolizes the unseen, the playful and imperfect side of creation that still shapes the final piece.
That’s what “Veiled Within” truly means:
Beauty and humor can coexist beneath the same surface.
